Confession: Trying to take pictures in the South Bay where there is constantly some sort of wind storm proves extremely difficult… Nonetheless, the sun has been shining in L.A. and the heat hasn’t been unbearable (yet). Now that summer is well under way, I thought it was only appropriate to treat myself to a pair of new shades. I’ve been lusting over Quay (pronounced ‘key’) after seeing just about everyone on my Instagram feed raving about the brand. Little did I know how affordable these guys are! $40-50 for a pair of super chic sunnies? Yes please.
The ones I’m wearing are called “My Girl” which have been sold out for quite some time on Quay’s official website. After some extensive googling I found them on a different website, New York Glass. This was the first time ordering sunglasses online so I was definitely hesitant but luckily they feel great and I’m admittedly already looking to see which ones I should get next. Oh, and the outfit. My distressed denim jacket is a staple in my closet and my go-to whenever I’m looking to throw an extra layer on. Remember when skorts were for tennis players or Catholic school girls in uniform? Well, I was one of those two things but I still love them. These white ones are easy to dress up or down for any occasion. I picked out a graphic cutoff tee and slipped on these perforated leather Vans to complete this laid back look.
